Tasumakan Online Djembe Drumming Lessons

Tasumakan is the first online learning system for Djembe and Dunun, and continues to be the most comprehensive and easy-to-follow lesson series available.

Djembe Basics is a beginner-level course, covering all of the fundamentals a beginning djembe student needs to know, including djembe history, correct posture and technique, and basic djembe rhythms.

Djembe Pro is aimed at the more experienced student, and teaches specific djembe and dunun rhythms from the Malinke tradition. Each lesson contains an in-depth breakdown of a djembe solo, in addition to all of the djembe and dunun patterns. As an added bonus, these lessons include 2 play-along MP3 tracks and a PDF displaying the notation for the parts and solos.

Yeah? Then you’ll probably need a really clever music video that all your friends will share and say “I know those cats!” Video is a great way to get your band out there. The kids these days listen to music on YouTube more than anywhere else. Sad as that may be, the fact is you need to be on YouTube if you hope to break into that market. It’s also just a great way for folks to decide if they’d be interested in coming to your concert or buying your music online. Better to have some beautiful video with great quality sound than a shaky phone video with distorted audio.
